We have loved every minute of Spring in P/1C. We have continued to participate in variety of interesting activities this term. Some recent experiences have included two visits from the Fire Brigade for Preps, the arrival of the Life Education van and a visit from the famous author and illustrator, Shirley Barber.
Alex said, "Guess what! I got to see the firemen. They were called Sam, Ross and Matt and they were really funny, especially Sam. We got to have a turn of a huge hose and mine made a rainbow. The siren was so noisy that it gave everyone a fright. At the end all the Preps came over to Sam and so did I. I was squished by Preps! Then the firemen had to go to their station so they turned on the engine and the flashing light and drove away. When they were gone I jumped up and down."
Hugo said, "We looked at the shiny firetruck then we sprayed water and made a flood. On the firetruck I saw a ladder and I saw a pump where the hose goes to squirt water."
Charlotte said, "On Tuesday the firemen came to see us and they showed us the firetruck. Mrs Pollock had a go of the hose like all of us and so did my mum. Firetruck 20 came. They showed us all of the equipment and before they went they put the sirens on. As they were going they beeped the horn and everyone waved goodbye! "
